On Tuesday, January 27, 2015 Twitter published an article on their blog that they would now allow users to upload videos with their tweets. They are limited to 30 seconds in length. Read the article for more information about this. Twitter for iPhone users will be able to upload videos from the camera roll (a feature that will be available on our Android app soon).
If you have established a significant following for your business on Twitter, this will come in handy when you’re on the go, and need to update your followers as to what is happening at your event right now. Granted, 30 seconds isn’t a very long video, but there aren’t any restrictions on how many you can upload either. If you have a WordPress website, visitors to your site can watch your tweets right from your website by installing a plugin like the Latest Tweets Widget and then use the short codes provided to embed the tweets in its own page or post.
This is a great marketing tool. Since the majority of your website ranking in Google depends on the amount of links back to your website, and if your followers are retweeting your posts, it can increase your PR ranking.
Here is a video showing you just how easy it is to upload a video to Twitter right from your iPhone.
I always feel it is important to have share buttons on your WordPress website too. It’s much better though, if you have accounts with some of these social networks. Your customers, clients and followers all may wish to interact with you in different ways. So their preference as to how they might share your content varies too.
